Orleton Ecology Group

Orleton village has a wonderful range of habitats for wildlife, generously provided by landowners, farmers and residents with gardens. Wide field margins, thick hedges, fields set aside for growing bird seed food plants, ponds, meadows, orchards, ditches and streams, and gardens that are both beautiful and wildlife friendly. Biodiversity is very good. However, floods and heatwaves seem to be becoming more common, and it is important that we find new ways to protect our plants and animals.
